the respected president of Pakistan Pharmacist Association (PPA) is microbiologist, pharmacologist and pharmacist along with ≤25 year’s research, academic and professional experience. He has successfully published ≥80 scientific article in accredited research journals and having exceptional knowledge of molecular biology, chemical pathology, clinical pharmacotherapy and epidemiology. Dr. Nazir compiled six clinical/ pharmaceutical/ medicine related books including “Clinical and Pharmaceutical Management of Disease” 2010; “Applied Pharmacotherapy” (2009); and “Manual of Pharmacology and Therapeutics” 2007 and two professional compilations. Thus, he has exceptional knowledge of cell pathology, pharmaceutical biotechnology and microbiology. He also has sufficient teaching experience to the students/ scholars of Pharm-D and M.Phil in different universities.
Dr. Taha was awarded the Ph.D degree in Microbiology by the Quid -I-Azam University, Islamabad after successful completion of research entitled “Prevalence, characterization and clinical evaluation of indigenous Mycobacterium tuberculosis”. Whereas, the M. Phil (Pharmacology) was completed in 2000 form University of Agriculture, Faisalabad, after his research work entitled “Study of hematological laboratory profile induced by Vinorelbine, Doxurubicine and Cisplatin in breast, lungs and NSCL cancer patients” admitted in Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital, Lahore, Pakistan. He was graduated in pharmacy from University of the Punjab, Lahore, Pakistan.
Respected president has worked at miscellaneous prestigious positions of Associate Dean and Associate Professor, University of Lahore (Islamabad); Associate Professor (Clinical Pharmacy) Riphah International University (Islamabad); Chairman Board of Directors and President of
Pharmacist Federation and performed a variety of academic, professional and scientific roles in all aforesaid institutions. Dr. Taha has also worked with Medipak Ltd. (Lahore); Cotton Craft Pvt. Ltd. (Lahore); Batala Pharmaceuticals (Gujranwala); Orient Laboratories (Pvt) Ltd. (Lahore); Wyeth Lederle Cyanamid (Lahore); and Hamdard University (Islamabad).
