Thus, Pakistan Pharmacists Association (PPA) is the national professional body of pharmacists engaged in various facets of the profession of pharmacy. The PPA is committed to promote the highest professional and ethical standards of pharmacy, focus the image of pharmacist as competent healthcare, professionals, sensitize the community, Government and others on vital professional issues and support pharmaceutical education and sciences in all aspects.   • Notification and implementation of the Punjab Drug Sales Rules in 2007. Now Pharmacy license is being issued only to the Pharmacist as Qualified Person.
  • Confirmation of large number of Pharmacists appointed on Contract Basis in Punjab Govt
  • Future Jobs of Pharmacists in Govt. sector shall be only on "PERMANENT" basis.
  • 255 new POSTS in the Punjab Govt. & More than 400 in Balochistan, 225 in Sind and same in NWFP , and AJK along with five new posts Inspector of Drugs in Islamabad, Gilgit & Biltistan.
  • Appointment of Pharmacists in emergency services and trauma centre in govt. hospitals on higher salaries.

  • Organized various carrier orientation seminars from time to time.
  • PPA formed a Natural Disaster Committee which very actively contributed and provided aid to the Earth Quack Disaster victims.
  • Organized Four International Conferences during the last tenure Two in Karachi and Two in Lahore.
  • More and more Pharmacists are being recruited in Pharma Industry due to continuous efforts and pressure of PPA for appointing at least One Pharmacist in every Section.
  • More job opportunities for Pharmacist were created due to influencing the industry for establishment of Quality Assurance Section.
  • The wages in the industry are improving day by day and shall be further improved especially for Pharm D Graduates.
  • Appointment of more Pharmacists in the Ministry of Health. Now there are three Pharmacist drug controllers, instead of previous one non-pharmacist drug controller.

  • PPA is an active member of Common Wealth Pharmacist Association (CPA) and Federation of Asian Pharmacists Association (FAPA).
  • PPA got the honour to be elected as Regional Representative of Asia in CPA.
  • More and more Pharmacist are involved in UN organizations INGO and NGO as Public health Pharmacist.
  • Hundreds of Pharmacist have been trained in the field of Hospital Pharmacy, Clinical Pharmacy, Drug information, TPN, Aseptic dispensing and other Pharmaceutical care areas with help of PPA at Children Hospital and other Hospitals. And all these Pharmacist are performing excellence within country and internationally.
  • PPA Camps for help of earthquake victim and IDPs with in 24 hour of the emergencies.
  • Pharmacist included as expert in PVMS Committee of Punjab and other part of country.
  • PPA remains vigilant in stopping entry of Category B & C holders to the lot. Many cases were fought in High Court on this issue with chemist association. We are very much successful in stopping them. But complete success will be achieved when Pharmacy Act will be revised.
